BEFORE THE RETREAT

Intake & individual coaching

We hold individual 30-minute online intake meetings with each participant, to answer any questions, and manage expectations. We will offer some pointers to support you as you start preparing for your journey.

We will meet together for a personal 90-minute one-on-one preparation and orientation session. We will share some information regarding dosages and support you to decide on the dosage that is perfect for your needs. The balance of the time will be spent in a personal guided parts process.

Our vision is that integration and preparation are as important as the psychedelic journey itself.

After the retreat, we invite you to join an online group check-in circle, to connect and share your experiences.

We will also set up a time for another individual 90-minute coaching session to support you in integrating any changes and insights that you have had. This way we ensure you anchor your experience and benefit more from the wisdom that arose during your journey.

Contraindications: If you have heart problems, severe mental health problems or psychosis, this event is not suitable for you. If you are in doubt about other conditions or medications you are taking, please consult your doctor.

After your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to an online form with a few additional questions. After completing this form, the team will contact you to schedule the 1:1 preparation.

What is Psilocybin?

Psilocybin and psilocin are chemical compounds obtained from certain types of fresh hallucinogenic truffles. These have been used for many centuries in various spiritual and medical rituals for their ability to alter consciousness and trigger mystical experiences.

Psilocybin is showing a lot of promise for helping people to treat cluster headaches, and overcome hard-to-treat (or treatment-resistant) and life-disrupting conditions like addiction and major depression. Psilocybin reduces activity in the amygdala, the brain region associated with fear and anxiety.

Under the influence of the active ingredient psilocybin, the brain opens up new avenues of exploration. Connections are made that are not normally active. This process can lead to new insights, processing stuck emotions and traumas, and positively influencing the interpretation of life after the experience. Users often describe that they discover entirely new ways of thinking about the world and themselves, and expanding their awareness.

Our experienced team is there to assist you in this ceremony, to hold space and create a safe container. We work with music, incense, and other tools to support you throughout the journey.

The Venue

We will gather at the Tinusboom retreat centre. Our ceremony will take place in the cosy sunroom. We will eat fresh vegetarian meals in the dining room (although we will fast on Saturday after a light breakfast). There are comfortable shared bedrooms,  with duvets and pillows. Bring your own towel and linen. Each room has its own shower and basin.

You are welcome to relax in the communal area or sit in one of the little nooks in the attractive garden. The garden has an unobstructed view of the adjacent estate and a pond which is in open connection with the river Alm. It is a place where you can come home, explore and reconnect with your core.
